The Minskin cats
The Minskin is a fairly rare cat breed that is the result of a
cross between a
Munchkin and probably
a Donskoy or Sphynx.
This cat has the typical morphology
of the Munchkin, but without fur. The
main physical characteristics of the
Minskin include a round, broad
head, large erect triangular
ears, round, large eyes that
match the color of the
skin, a strong chin, absent or few whiskers, raised cheeks, a
short muzzle, a supple and well-developed neckline, as well
as a broad and strong
chest.
The Minskin is known
for its sociability, curiosity, and love of meeting newcomers
to its household, be it cats or dogs.
He is quick-witted, attentive to his master and can be
mischievous. He is also very affectionate. In terms of size,
the Minskin usually stands between 25 and 30 cm at the
shoulder and weighs less than 3 kg, although some
specimens can weigh only a kilo.
Its appearance is
reminiscent of the Donskoy.
The Minskin's coat is a fine
down that shows off its skin.
Regarding the acquisition of a Minskin kitten, in France,
there is currently no Minskin breeding, so it is necessary to
turn to the United States. The price of a kitten can vary
between €1,200 and €2,000, depending on the physical
appearance of the animal, its sex and its breed.
It is important to note that, due to the novelty of the breed, it
is difficult to have enough hindsight to identify
predispositions to specific
diseases in the Minskin.
However, a certain
dermatological fragility, with
allergic
risks, can be evoked, in particular for the hairless
specimens.
Please note that the above information
is based on the
research results provided and you
should consult specialist
sources for more detailed
information on Minskin cats.
